{"id":764,"date":"2008-01-25T22:39:00","date_gmt":"2008-01-26T03:39:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.michellebeachy.com\/blog\/friday-january-25-2008\/"},"modified":"2008-01-25T22:39:00","modified_gmt":"2008-01-26T03:39:00","slug":"friday-january-25-2008","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.michellebeachy.com\/blog\/friday-january-25-2008\/","title":{"rendered":"Friday January 25, 2008"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=center><font face=\"Copperplate Gothic Bold\" size=7>It&#8217;s A Boy!<\/font><\/p>\n<p align=left><font face=Enviro size=4>It&#8217;s such a huge relief to see arms and legs and hands and feet and kidneys and a functional bladder.&nbsp; No spina bifida, no club feet, no cleft palette, symmetrical everything and the one I always think about first . . . normal heart function.&nbsp; Everything looks great really, except that the baby is small.&nbsp; While I don&#8217;t mind having small babies (Adam weighed 5 lbs 15 oz), it was a little disconcerting to have the baby measure a week and a half small.&nbsp; Especially since Adam measured a week and a half larger at 24 weeks.&nbsp; At first Dr. T thought my dates were probably just off; but I confirmed that not only had I done an ovulatory predictor test, my eight week dating u\/s actually set my date one day earlier.&nbsp; Needless to say my brain was scrambling to recall things about IUGR as he said, &#8220;hmmm, let&#8217;s get you back on the table and get measurements again just to make sure.&#8221;&nbsp; So now I&#8217;m digging out my textbooks and googling IUGR and trying to calm my hyperactive brain everytime I think hypoxic injury&nbsp;and other unlovely thoughts.&nbsp; My second measurements were a millimeter different which shot the baby up three days and into the fourteenth percentile.&nbsp; The IUGR cutoff is 10th percentile and I&#8217;m focusing on the fact that this is four points higher.&nbsp; Still, I think I&#8217;ll feel a lot better after a good night of sleep.&nbsp; <\/font><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s A Boy!
